Our staff has years of experience in advocacy and advancing independent living among people with disabilities. We rely on volunteer receptionists to connect our consumers with the staff member who can best help them. The crucial work of our volunteers enables our staff to provide our core services. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this brief form and we will reach out to you to schedule your first visit!

Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, Disability Rights & Resources has closed our offices to the public until we can safely re-open. Our staff is still available during our normal business hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) by phone and email. Our phone number is (704) 537-0550.

As we know, many people with disabilities and chronic illness are more vulnerable to COVID-19. We are asking people to do everything they can to reduce their risk of contracting COVID-19 and spreading it to others. The National Council of Independent Living (NCIL) has continually updating resources and information relevant to people with disabilities and the broader community, and you can view that at https://ncil.org/covid-19/. Here are some links for the most up-to-date information for each county in our service area, as well as statewide and national:

Mecklenburg County | Gaston County | Union County | Cabarrus County | Statewide Information | National Information

The health and safety of our consumers and our staff is too precious to risk, and we encourage everyone to take care of themselves and take care of each other in this difficult time. As always, call us if you are in need of our services: (704) 537-0550. We will continue to do our best to help you in whatever way we safely can.
